Prawn Cake

Ingredients to make Prawn Cake

  • Prawns 200 g
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • coconut Milk 1 Cup
  • egg 1
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1 tsp
  • Green Chilies Chopped 2 tsp
  • tomatoes Chopped 2 tsp
  • garlic chopped 2 tsp
  • onion chopped 2 tsp
  • ginger chopped 2 tsp
  • mustard paste 1 tsp
  • mustard oil 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • for covering: banana leaves as required

How to make Prawn Cake

  1. Blend prawns with grated coconut. Transfer mixture to a bowl
  2. Add eggs , mustard paste, mustard oil, salt chili powder, sugar , onion, garlic, tomato, chili, ginger, coconut milk. Mix everything well
  3. Add baking soda, baking powder and mix well. Heat tawa and drizzle with oil. Grease banana leaf. Add the mixture on leaf and spread. cover it with another greased leaf on top
  4. Place banana leaf on hot tawa and cover with a bowl. cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Slice and serve yummy fluffy prawn cake
