About Thandai Recipe

Flavoured milk with dry fruits, kesar, spices, rose petals and sugar. Since i dont have rose petals, i have used Gulkhand. I have used natural cow's milk for better taste. It is so tasty and healthy.

Ingredients to make Thandai

  • Milk boiled and cooled 1 ltr
  • Gulkhand 2 tsp
  • For Grinding sugar 3-4 tbsp
  • badam 6
  • pista 6
  • cashews 6-8
  • Cardamon 4
  • fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • cucumber seeds 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • poppy seeds 1 tsp
  • cinnamon stick small piece
  • nutmeg a pinch
  • kesar a pinch

How to make Thandai

  1. BOIL AND COOL 1 LTR MILK
  2. ADD 2 TSP GULKHAND TO COLD MILK
  3. TAKE REQUIRED DRY FRUITS, KESAR, SPICES AND SUGAR. I HAVE USED BADAM, PISTA, CASHEWS, CARDAMON, KESAR, FENNEL SEEDS, BLACK PEPPER, NUTMEG, CINNAMON, POPPY SEEDS AND CUCUMBER SEEDS.
  4. DESEED CARDAMON. ADD THEM TO BLENDER
  5. MAKE A FINE POWDER
  6. ADD THE POWDER TO COLD MILK
  7. MIX WELL AND REFRIGERATE FOR 1 HR
  8. SERVE CHILLED
