ABOUT Spicy veg briyani RECIPE

My family favourite briyani , so i made this special "spicy veg briyani" for My lovable Husband and also Better Butter Friends

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg finely chopped mixed vegetables ( carrot, French beans, cabbage, green pies)
  2. Basumathi rice -1/2 kg
  3. Chopped Onion 250 grams
  4. Ginger and garlic paste - 100 grams
  5. Briyanai spices (Cinnamon +cardamom +cloves) - 1 teaspoon
  6. Chopped Tomato - 3
  7. Coriander and mint leaves - 1/2 cup
  8. Red chilli powder -2 teaspoon
  9. Saffron - few
  10. Curd - 1/4 th cup
  11. Ghee- 2 Tablespoons
  12. Oil- 3 Tablespoons
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Cinnamon -2 pieces
  15. Cardamom - 4 pieces
  16. Cloves - 2 pieces
  17. Green chilly - 2

Instructions

  1. Boiling the water and add basumathi rice and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, green Chilly.
  2. Boil for 10 minutes, then drain the water. And keep aside.
  3. Take a heavy bottom pan and add ghee and oil.
  4. Heat the oil add onion and green Chilly, saute well until golden brown.
  5. Add tomatoes,
  6. Add vegetables, mix well and cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Add Ginger and garlic paste. Saute well.
  8. Add, spices powder and red chilli powder, salt
  9. Mix well and cook until the vegetables are cooked.
  10. Add curd
  11. Prepare a saffron water
  12. Take a fresh pan and add some rice. And sprinkle some saffron water.
  13. Then add, some gravy.
  14. Add some coriander leavs and mint leaves.
  15. Again add gravy next add some rice, sprinkle some saffron water, add coriander and mint leaves
  16. Keep dum for 20 Minutes. Heat a old dosa pan, and keep the briyanai pan,and lid tightly and put on heavy weight on the briyanai pan. Switch of the flame.
  17. After 20 Minutes open the briyanai pan and gently mix not a mix just.
  18. Ready to serve our spicy veg briyanai was ready to eat.
