ABOUT Ridge Gourd Fritters... RECIPE

These are super yummy fritters that are made with ridge gourd. Looks gorgeous, don't they? Well, these are too delish and heavenly. Lovely snack idea for tea-time. These are also a great choice for brunch. It livens up any tea party or a kitty party for sure.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Ridge gourd large 2 - 3
  2. Gram flour 2 cups
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  4. Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  5. Roasted coriander powder 1 tsp
  6. Salt 1 tsp
  7. Asafoetida 1/8 th tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  10. Baking soda 1/8 th tsp
  11. Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  12. Kasoori methi 1 1/2 tbsp
  13. Water 1/2 cup
  14. Chaat masala 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Make a thick batter using as minimum water as possible.
  2. Set is aside for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil for frying the fritters in the meantime.
  4. Wash and peel the ridge gourd and slice it into 1 inch thick pieces.
  5. Dip in the batter and fry on medium high to low until done on both the sides.
  6. Fry in batches of two to three and take them out onto a paper napkin.
  7. Sprinkle chaat masala on top.
  8. Serve them hot with any dip of your choice.
