ABOUT Fenugreek Sweet Pongal RECIPE

Pongal is a popular dish in South India, prepared with moong dal and rice. Hrre is mine innovative pongal ricepe with fenugreek and wheat rava with jaggery. It's healthy and tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup wheat rava
  2. 1 cup sprouted fenugreek
  3. 2 tsp fenugreek seeds powder
  4. 1 cup grout coconut
  5. 1 tbs ghee
  6. 7 cup water
  7. 1 cup jaggery
  8. A pinch of salt
  9. For good aroma and taste...
  10. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  11. 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  12. 5 pods of saffron
  13. 2 tsp hot milk
  14. 10 cashews halved
  15. few raisins
  16. 1 tsp crushed pepper
  17. A pinch of clove

Instructions

  1. In a pan add a tsp of ghee and fry cashews until golden brown. Keep aside.
  2. Add saffron to a hot milk and keep aside.
  3. Dry fry fenugreek seeds and make smooth powder, keep aside.
  4. Add 2 tsp of ghee and fry wheat rava till they turn aromatic in a pan.
  5. Now add 7 cup of water and close the lid.
  6. Add sprouted fenugreek when it is half boiled.
  7. Again close the lid and saute often till the mixture cooked well completely.
  8. Further add jaggery and saute well.
  9. Once the jaggery melted, add ghee and coconut. Mix them gently.
  10. Further more add fenugreek seeds powder, saffron milk and remaing ingredients for good aroma and taste.
  11. Now add salt, cashews and raisins. Mix well.
  12. Serve smooth fenugreek sweet pongal in hot.
