Everybody at my home love this recipe of mine, a perfect curry to be served with some steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup curd
  2. 2 tbsp gram flour
  3. 1/2 cup water
  4. 2 tbsp oil
  5. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  6. 1/2 cumin
  7. 2 piece dry red chilli
  8. 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  9. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  10. 1 tsp chopped green chilies
  11. 1 cup fenugreek leaves
  12. 1 tsp fresh coriander
  13. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  14. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  15. 1 tsp gram masala powder
  16. salt as required


  1. In a mixture grinder add curd, gram flour and water and churn it
  2. Add oil to a pan add mustard seeds when they begin to crackle add chopped ginger and chopped green chilies and fry till it begins to smell good add asafoetida
  3. Add fenugreek leaves and fresh coriander mix well and cook some minutes
  4. Add dry masala and salt all mix sauté for few seconds
  5. Add curd mix and stir it and cook thick consistency
  6. Heat oil in pan add cumin saeeds when they begin to crackle add chopped garlic and dry whole red chilli after few minutes , switch the flame off ,add red chilli powder and mix well
  7. Pour this tadka over curry
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
