ABOUT Sweet nachni paniyaram RECIPE

Ragi or finger millet is one of the most nutritious and healthy cereals. It contains high amount of calcium which is necessary during pregnancy. Here is a sweet and delicious snack made of ragi, wheat flour, jaggery, egg, dates and carrots which gives you high protein, calcium and iron.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ragi (soaked over night) - 1/2 cup
  2. Atta - 1 cup
  3. Egg - 1
  4. Dates chopped- 1/4 cup
  5. Carrot shredded- 1/4 cup
  6. Jaggery syrup- 1/2 cup
  7. Salt - a Pinch
  8. Ghee - 1 tablespoon
  9. Water if needed

Instructions

  1. Grind ragi by adding 1 teaspoon of water
  2. With the help of a strainer take milk from it
  3. Take a bowl add atta ragi milk egg and jaggery syrup
  4. Mix Well with egg beating utensil . If it is too thick you can add little water
  5. Then add salt dates and carrots and mix well
  6. Batter should not be too thick and too smooth
  7. Heat paniyaram pan. Grease it with ghee and pour the batter into each mold with a tablespoon
  8. Lower the heat and cook for two minutes
  9. When the base is golden fried, flip them and cook until done
  10. Serve hot
