Given to new mothers at some places. Though this is made as parshad in Janam ashtmi

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 100 gramms grated dry coconut (khopra)
  2. 50 gramms chopped almonds
  3. 50 gramms chopped cashew nuts
  4. 50 grams melon seeds (magaz)
  5. 25 grams raisins
  6. 25 grams pistachios
  7. 25 gramms chironji
  8. 325 gramms powdered sugar or boora
  9. 1/2 tea spoon Rose essence
  10. Water 3/4 glass

Instructions

  1. Put sugar and water in a woke and make a thick syrup
  2. Dry roast all nuts separately or you can microwave (except raisins)
  3. Add all roasted items in syrup, keep stirring while cooking and mix well till everything is incorporated nicely
  4. Remove from gas and add rose essence and transfer on a greased tbali
  5. Cut pieces and enjoy
