Namakpare is one of the most popular snacks in Northern India. I have shaped the namakpare as cashew nuts. This a delicious, light and crunchy snack.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Refined flour 1/2 kilograms
  2. Semolina 250 grams
  3. Pure ghee 250 grams
  4. Salt 2 teaspoon
  5. Chaat masala 2 teaspoon
  6. Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Roasted cumin seeds powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Cookie cutter


  1. Sieve the flour and semolina together. Add salt.
  2. Add melted ghee and half the spices into the flour.
  3. Make a tight dough with the help of lukewarm water. Let dough rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Now roll the small portions of dough into rounds. Use a cookie cutter to give the dough the required shape.
  5. Deep fry on medium heat until golden. Sprinkle remaining spices over the namakpare.
  6. Serve with tea or coffee.
