These baaties are made in Rajasthan but here i have served it with badam ki chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Beasan /gram flour 2 cups
  2. Wheat flour 2 cups
  3. Curd 2 cups
  4. Turmeric powder 1tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Ghee 1/2 cup
  7. For chutney = : 1/2cup almonds
  8. Basil leaves 1 cup
  9. Green chillies chopped 3 tbsp
  10. Garlic cloves 4-5
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. First of all mix all dry ingredients with dahi.
  2. Knead a smooth dough but don't add much water and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes knead it again but with adding layers of deshi ghee.
  4. Knead it smooth and divide into small equal portions.
  5. Take one portion and make a well in centre to add a little ghee inside
  6. Once again make small balls with ghee inside and bake in a preheated oven for first 20 minutes on 160 and then on 140 for next 20 minutes.
  7. Till your baaties get ready make your chutney by grinding all ingredients together to make a smooth paste.
  8. Get your baaties out of the oven and transfer immediately to a thick bottomed pan and pour 2 tbsp melted ghee over these baaties and cover with lid.
  9. Serve hot or cold with fresh chutney.
