ABOUT Besani Bread. RECIPE

This is my version of the famous bread pakodas, bread slices dipped in spicy besan batter and deep fried, to be served with some ketchup.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 cup besan
  2. 8 slices bread
  3. Salt
  4. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  5. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds.
  6. Green coriander leaves [handful]
  7. Oil for frying


  1. Put the besan in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add salt and the masalas mentioned into the besan.
  3. Add chopped coriander leaves as well.
  4. Now whisk well and make a smooth batter with required amount of water.
  5. Slice the bread slices diagonally into 2 halves.
  6. Heat ample amount of oil in a kadhai.
  7. Now dip the bread slices in the besan batter and fry them in the hot oil, until golden brown.
  8. Serve with sauce.
