A yummy tikki made with pulses and potatoes, a perfect blend of flavours and spices in a yummy snack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 boiled potatoes
  2. 1/2 cup yellow moong dal
  3. Salt
  4. 4 tsp cornflour
  5. 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  6. 1/4tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1/2 cup mashed panir
  8. Coriander leaves [handful]
  9. 1/4 tsp chat masala
  10. 1/2 cup chopped cashew nuts
  11. Oil for frying
  12. 4 tsp pudina chatni
  13. 1 chopped onion


  1. Wash and soak the dal for 10 minutes.
  2. Now boil it in a pan for 5 minutes
  3. Strain it and let this get cooled.
  4. Now add panir, salt, red chilly powder, cashew nuts. coriander to it.
  5. Add chat masala and mix well.
  6. Boil and mash potatoes , add required amount of salt and mix .
  7. Add cornflour and make a smooth dough
  8. Divide and shape them into balls.
  9. Fill dal filling in each of the ball and reshape them again.
  10. Heat a tawa
  11. Put oil on it.
  12. Add the filled tikkis and shallow fry them.
  13. When becomes crisp.
  14. Take a plate put tikki on it
  15. Top with pudina chatni and chopped onion. Serve.
