Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice - 1 Cup
  2. Chilkey wali moong dal -1 Cup
  3. Ghee - 6 tsp
  4. Salt as required
  5. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Onions - 1 small size ( chopped)


  1. Wash and soak rice and dal in water for 10 mins.
  2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker add garam masala and onions fry till transparent.
  3. Add rice, daal, salt and three cups of water.
  4. Mix well and pressure cook for three whistles till rice becomes soft
  5. Moong dal khichdi is ready to serve.
