ABOUT Chana daal puri RECIPE

Traditional sindhi breakfast made during weddings.....tasty,fuffy puri with tempered chana daal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Puri...........Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. salt to taste
  3. red chilli pwd 2 tsps
  4. oil 2 tsps+oil to deep fry
  5. For chana daal.......
  6. chana daal 1 cup soaked for 20 min.
  7. salt to taste
  8. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  9. green chillies chopped to boil with daal
  10. red chilli pwd 2 tsps
  11. jeera 2 tsps
  12. oil to temper 2 spoons
  13. water 2 cups
  14. For garnish.....
  15. fried green chillies
  16. long and fine cut onions 2 nos

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook daal with salt ,turmeric pwd,and green chilli ,water 2cupsto 3 whistle .
  2. Simmer gas for few seconds and switch off gas.
  3. let cooker depressurize .
  4. Take daal in serving bowl mash roughly to get grainy texture.
  5. Temper with jeera and red chilli pwd.
  6. Add some coriander leaves finely chopped.
  7. For puris....
  8. Add oil,salt, red chilli pwd,and knead a dough.
  9. Deep fry puris.
  10. In same oil fry some green chillies.
  11. Serve hot daal puri.
