My mom taught me this as we loved to have this during tea time.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup parboiled rice
  2. 4 tomatoes
  3. 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  4. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  5. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. water to make batter
  8. oil to grease
  9. salt to taste
  10. 3 same size plates
  11. Steamer
  12. Big cotton cloth to dry these crackers


  1. First soak rice for 4 hrs.
  2. Then add green chilli n tomato to the soaked rice n make a smooth batter.
  3. Add other ingredients to this...the batter is running consistency like raw dosa batter
  4. Now boil water in a big vessel,point to be noted the top part of vessel should be same size of plates so that it easily placed on top
  5. Now grease oil on all plates n take a big spoon of batter n spread on plate.
  6. When steamer is sufficiently hot place this plate carefully n cover the lid.
  7. Meanwhile prepare for rest two plates...wait for 1 min.
  8. Remove the lid n remove hot plate from steamer. Place one more plate on steamer.
  9. Meanwhile make the hot plate to cool down n remove the Kapda slowly n keep on a big plate...
  10. Continue this process till all batter is over
  11. Now spread a big cotton cloth n place these Kapda...dry this under hot Sun or under fan...
  12. When it is dried up...it automatically rises up n leaves the cloth. Remove from cloth n store in an air tight container.
  13. You can deep fry or bake it on gas top or use microwave n have this crunchy crackers in your free time. You can store this for months.
