In India, Rayta is a most popular side dish and there are so many options/ flavors to make rayta. The common synonym for Rayta we can say is spicy flavoured yogurt.. you can make this side dish with various fruits and vegetable or many more item. So today i gonna share a very healthy rayta recipe here, yes this is lauki rayta and this dish is very good for our digestive system and for taste too. Recipe is very easy, you need only 2 main ingredients to make that, so lets prepare this super healthy recipe now.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups yogurt (fat free)
  2. 300 gram bottle gourd
  3. 1/2 tea spoon roasted cumin powder
  4. 1/3 spoon black pepper powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Few fresh mint leaves (crushed)

Instructions

  1. To prepare rayta, first of all, wash, peel and grate lauki.
  2. Now with help of steamer, steam it for about 10 to 12 minutes, and then let it cool.
  3. Now take a big bowl and add yogurt in it, then whisk it.
  4. Now add prepared bottle gourd, salt, pepper, mint leaves, cumin powder in it and mix well. Refrigerate it for about 30 minutes and then serve with lunch or as your choice.
