Sago Honey Applesauce Cake

Ingredients to make Sago Honey Applesauce Cake

  • 1.5 cups sago flour
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup applesauce (preferable homemade)
  • 1/2 tbspn baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup melted low fat butter
  • 2 cups low fat milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

How to make Sago Honey Applesauce Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180.Line up cake mould
  2. Sieve dry ingredients ,keep it aside
  3. You can use unsweetened applesauce for healthy version or add regular sweetened applesauce. If applesauce contains cinnamon, you can skip adding it along with dry ingredients or you can add cinnamon along with dry ingredients for additional flavour
  4. Refer to my applesauce recipe for homemade version. It's simple and easy to make
  5. In a bowl blend butter and egg well. Add applesauce, honey and mix well. Alternatively add dry ingredients and milk and fold in gently. This will be a very thick dense batter. Pour it in cake mould
  6. Bake for 25-35 minutes until done. Toothpick inserted in center should come out clean. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes, then invert on wire rack and allow to cool completely. Serve As-IS

My Tip:

If you want to eat healthy skip frosting and icing to avoid additional calories.
