Steamed Hilsa Fish Recipe

Ingredients to make Steamed Hilsa Fish Recipe

  • Hilsa fish - 400gm
  • curd - 4tbsp
  • Poppy sedds - 1tbsp
  • mustard seeds - 4tbsp
  • Slat to taste
  • sugar to taste
  • turmeric powder - 1tbsp
  • mustard oil - 2tbsp
  • Green chili -5nos

How to make Steamed Hilsa Fish Recipe

  1. Frist marinate the fish with 1/2 tbsp salt & 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder.Keep it for 5mins.
  2. In a mixing jar add 4tbsp mustard seeds, 1tbsp poppy seeds, 4 tbsp curd, 1tbsp turmeric powder, salt & sugar ( as per your taste), 3nos green chilies & bleand well.
  3. Then take a big bowl with air tight lid.
  4. Now poure all the mixer into the blow and add 1/2 cup water & mix well.
  5. Then add fish & mustard oil & 2nos green chili mix well.Close the container lid very well.
  6. Now heat a big pan add water , put the container in water.
  7. Then cook in medium flame for 20mins
  8. Open the container lid very carefully.
  9. Your recipe is ready, serve with hot steamed rice.
