Ingredients to make Makka mooli chilla (maize flour and radish chilla)

  • 250 gm. Makka aata(maize flour)
  • 1 1/2 radish
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 large onion
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • Handful chopped coriander leaves

How to make Makka mooli chilla (maize flour and radish chilla)

  1. Wash, peel and grate radish properly.
  2. Put it aside. No need to filter the water of grated radish.
  3. Now finely chop peas, onions and green chilli.
  4. Now add grated radish, Maize flour, onion , peas, fennel seeds , red chilli powder, salt, coriander, and hing. Mix well.
  5. Add 1 Spoon water if needed and mix well.
  6. Mixture should be thick like soggy wheat dough.
  7. Heat the oil in a pan and then spread the batter using hands.
  8. Cook on medium flame by applying some oil until it becomes crispy from both sides.
  9. Chilla is ready
  10. Serve hot with green chutney

My Tip:

You can replace radish with cucumber
