Ingredients to make malai cake

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup malai
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • chopped almonds

How to make malai cake

  1. Sieve the dry ingredients and keep aside.
  2. Beat the egg whites till soft peaks.
  3. In a blender jar, add sugar malai and egg yolks and blend well.
  4. Take this mix out in a bowl and add vanilla essence.
  5. Fold in the flour in batches till no lumps.
  6. Fold in the egg whites slowly.
  7. Put the mix in a prepared pan and sprinkle chopped almonds on top.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 30-35 mins till a skewer comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool then demould, cut and serve.
