ABOUT Bread Pudding Cake.... RECIPE

Easy to make bread pudding in a few minutes without much efforts. This is a total bliss and made with just a few ingredients as well. Soft, supple and super spongy pudding cake to enjoy with family for a post dinner dessert.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bread slices 12-14
  2. Sugar 4-5 tbsp
  3. Egg whites (of two eggs)
  4. Egg (whole) 1
  5. Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  6. Cashewnuts slivered 2 tbsp
  7. Fresh cream or whipped cream 2 cups
  8. Fresh fruits 1-2 cups

Instructions

  1. First of all heat a pan with sugar on a low flame.
  2. Allow it to caramelise.
  3. Add two tablespoons of water to it.
  4. Allow it to bubble up and switch off the flame when thick.
  5. Add this caramelised sugar to a greased baking dish as the last layer.
  6. Add bread slices along with milk to a blender.
  7. Blitz until you get a smooth batter.
  8. Whisk an egg into this along with the vanilla essence. Beat egg whites separately until done and then add them to the batter.
  9. Pour this onto the baking dish now on top of the caramelised sugar.
  10. Bake this on 180° for 20-25 minutes.
  11. Slice it after a while and serve with a lots of fresh cream on top and fresh fruits too. You can add fruits of your choice, either fresh chunks or canned ones. Enjoy your slice!
