ABOUT fried Ghila pitha ( fried rice flour fritter) RECIPE

this dish is made of rice flour and gaggery during festivals in Assam (During Magh Bihu) after harvesting is over.It is very simple to make with minimum ingredients. its flavourful and enjopyed with evening tea.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. half kg bora saul (or brown sticky rice found in Northeast). You can use simple rice as well.
  2. Jaggery [as required]
  3. Baking soda [1/4 th tsp]
  4. Salt
  5. oil to fry

Instructions

  1. soak the bora saul/ rice overnight
  2. drain it and leave no water
  3. grind it into a little coarse powder
  4. add salt baking powder and mix the Jaggery in little portions to the poder
  5. make it dough like the roti dough
  6. heat oil and fry them well.
