ABOUT Chicken Curry RECIPE

Chicken chunks in an onion - tomato based gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 boneless chicken (cut into medium size pieces)
  2. 2 small tomatoes (finely chopped)
  3. 2 big onions (finely chopped)
  4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  6. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 2 tsp coriander powder
  9. 1 tsp chicken masala
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a cooker and fry the chicken pieces till light brown. Keep aside.
  2. In the same oil, add cumin seeds and chopped green chillies. Once cumin seeds splutter, add onions and saute till brown.
  3. Add tomatoes and saute till soft. Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chicken masala and salt.
  4. Add the fried chicken pieces and 2 cups water. Cover and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
  5. Garnish with chopped green coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis or rice.
