Easy, tasty, spicy fish curry.

Spicy fish curry

Ingredients to make Spicy fish curry

  • fish - 1 kg (clean,cut, rinse and drain)
  • kerala tamarind / kodampuli-4 pieces
  • coconut oil - 5 + 2 tbsp
  • mustard -1 tsp
  • fenugreek - 1tsp
  • chilli powder - 1- 2tbsp
  • chopped ginger - 50 gm
  • chopped garlic - 50 gm
  • curry leaves - 3 arc
  • salt - to taste.

How to make Spicy fish curry

  1. Keep all the ingredients ready.
  2. Peel and chop ginger and garlic into fine pieces.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil and saute the ginger garlic for 5 minutes till golden brown.
  4. Then add chilli powder and saute it.keep aside and cool it.
  5. Grind it to fine paste.
  6. Heat oil in man satti add mustard, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves. Add the paste.mix well. Add kodampuli pieces.
  7. Add 1- 2 cup water,let it boil,add salt to taste.
  8. Add fish pieces.
  9. After 5 minutes gently turn the fish pieces,allow it cook for another 5 minutes.slow the flame.Then switch off.
  10. Now spicy fish curry is ready. Delicious curry serve with hot white rice and pappads. Enjoy.

My Tip:

Adding ginger garlic equal quantity.
