About Goan Style Paneer Peas Gravy Recipe

This is goan receipe and we use freshly ground masala paste which adds to the taste. This goes well with chapathi ,paratha and jeera rice too. Its filled with goodness of milk and paneer.

Ingredients to make Goan Style Paneer Peas Gravy

  • paneer - 1 cup
  • onion -2
  • tomato -2
  • garlic -6 cloves
  • butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Milk -1/2 cup
  • sugar -1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala-1/2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • For masala:
  • cinnamon-1
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • khus khus -2 Teaspoon
  • pepper -1 teaspoon
  • Red chillies-4
  • dhania -2 teaspoon

How to make Goan Style Paneer Peas Gravy

  1. Roast onions directly on the flame till they become black. Remove skin and chop into pieces
  2. Take puree of tomato and kept it aside
  3. Fry all ingredients given under masala into golden brown and grind into fine paste along with onion and little water.
  4. In a kadai add butter ,add tomato puree ,salt and ground paste .Cook for about 10 minutes until butter leaves sides of pan
  5. Now add boiled peas , sugar ,garam masala , paneer and milk and simmer and cook for 5 minutes until all blend together

My Tip:

Roasting onion in direct flame and adding milk gives a unique taste to the dish,so dont skip it .
