About Milk powder Malpua Recipe

Mawa Malpuas are commonly made and eaten, this time I made them with milk powder and they turned out equally yummy. Pep up your festive mood with these scrumptious malpuas.

Ingredients to make Milk powder Malpua

  • For the Malpua
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • oil, for frying
  • For the sugar syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds and pistachios

How to make Milk powder Malpua

  1. First take milk powder, flour, cardamom powder and fennel seeds powder in a bowl.
  2. Add milk to make a homogeneous batter and whisk well to remove any lumps.
  3. Keep this aside for 20-25 mins.
  4. To make the sugar syrup take sugar and water in a pan and heat it till sugar melts.
  5. Add cardamom powder and let it simmer till it gets little thick, we don’t need to make a chasni.
  6. Take oil in a frying pan and put the Malpua in batches and fry them on low to medium flame till brown from both sides.
  7. Drain them on an absorbent paper.
  8. Now put the Malpua in warm sugar syrup and let them sit for 2-3 mins.
  9. Take them out and garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios.
  10. Serve them plain or with Rabri .
