Pidi Karunai kilangu ( yam ) curry

Ingredients to make Pidi Karunai kilangu ( yam ) curry

  • Pidi Karunai kilangu : 6
  • garlic  : 10
  • Small onion : 5
  • tomato : 1
  • Sesame oil : 4 tsp
  • fenugreek : ½ tsp
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder : 1 tsp
  • tamarind : small size
  • mustard seeds: ½ tsp
  • curry leaves
  • For coconut paste
  • Grated coconut 4 tsp
  • Small onion : 3

How to make Pidi Karunai kilangu ( yam ) curry

  1. Peel the skin of yam and slice it
  2. Heat oil in a pan, saute Mustard seeds, curry leaves and fenugreek for 2 mins.
  3. Add small onion, garlic and sliced yam and saute for 5 min.
  4. Add chilli powder, coriander powder and saute for 1 mind
  5. Add tamarind water, required water, salt and cook for 15 min.
  6. Add coconut paste and cook for 2 min.
