Pomfret as a Fish is very rich salt water Fish .Tastes gud in all curries or fried .Here is a curry mainly kokan preparation done only with Kokam .No onion tomatoes used here for curry.Wheat flour spices and kokam soaked water made this curry Woww!

Kokam Pomfret Curry

Ingredients to make Kokam Pomfret Curry

  • 1 Pomfret Fish
  • 7-8 kokam pieces
  • 1 tblspn red chilli kashmiri powder
  • 1 tblspn kokani fish masala(recipe in App)
  • 1tspn cummin corriander masala
  • 1/2 tspn turmeric powder
  • 1tspn garlic crush
  • 1/tspn ginger garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • 2-3 tblspn Oil ( rice oil I use)
  • 1tblspn wheat flour

How to make Kokam Pomfret Curry

  1. Clean fish make slits and apply little salt till other preparation
  2. Keep all spices ready
  3. Kokum pieces to be soaked in clean 1cup water
  4. Heat oil now in a pan ,add garlic crush, and ginger garlic paste to saute
  5. Now bring down the pan add all very spices and saute
  6. Add the wheat to the saute masala add little more oil to stir fry well
  7. It will crumble hence start adding little water of soaked Kokum and keep stirring
  8. Add all water and kokum now stir continuous to avoid lumps of wheat
  9. Now add water to make curry as reqd thick or thin,cook 5 minutes
  10. Add the cleant Fish now to cooking curry
  11. Cook covered 4-5minutes
  12. Your curry is ready now
  13. Serve hot with rice

My Tip:

This curry will take little effort of guaging the stir fry and roasting of masalas Dont over cook keep coveredonce done
