Dhokar dalna is a popular dish of Bangal.. Main ingredients of dhoka ia chana dal.. But to give some twist i made it with different types of veggies&little paneer instead of chana dal.. Very tasty dish which Can be serve with rice, roti,, paratha anything..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cabbage 1cup finely chopped
  2. Chopped Capsicum(green, yellow, red) each one 1/2cup
  3. Beans 1/2cup chopped
  4. Carrot1/2cupchopped
  5. Handfull of Coriander leaves
  6. Chopped greenchilli as per ur taste
  7. Grated paneer 1/2of all chopped vegetables,means if quantity of veggies&little 2cups then u have to add 1cup greatly paneer
  8. Asafoetida pinch of
  9. Salt & sugar to taste
  10. Ginger slices2tbsp
  11. Maida2tbsp
  12. White oil for fry
  13. For malakari--
  14. Green cardamom2/3pods
  15. Cinnamom2sticks
  16. Cloves 2
  17. Stir anise 1
  18. Cuminpaste(1tsp), gingerpaste2tsp,red chilli paste 1tsp, coriander1tsp paste..
  19. Tomatopuree1/2cup
  20. Almond, kismis paste 2tbsp
  21. Coconut milk1/2cup
  22. Salt & sugar to taste
  23. Ghee1tbsp
  24. White oil2tbsp

Instructions

  1. For dhoka.. Heat the pan. Add 2tbsp oil, add asafoetida.. After few seconds, add all the veggies..fry this by stirring, when it almost 80% cooked add paneer.. Stir again..
  2. Add ginger slicees, coriander leaves, salt, sugar.. Sprinkle some maida.. Make it dry.. Then in a plate brush some oil, spread the dry veg fry, then cut it in dhoka shapes..again Sprinkle moida & dip fry all the dhoka pcs one by one
  3. For the Malaikari gravy : Heat the pan, add oil then the dry slicees, when it starts splutter add all the masala paste, salt sugar one by one&stirring continuously.
  4. When oil come out add little water & cover it.. after sometimes colour will change& a beautiful smell come out.. then add coconut milk.. Let it get cooked for another 5mins..then add the fried dhoka, simmer the gas flame. Cook for 2mins..add ghee. Now it is ready to serve..
