About Jhinge Paneer Recipe

This is one of my favourite recipe of paneer prepared along with Ridge gourd. A healthy version of vegetables Paneer recipe in the richness of milk, coconut and almonds. It’s really yum and best goes with plain rice.

Jhinge Paneer

Ingredients to make Jhinge Paneer

  • Ridge Gourd cut into small pieces 1 bowl
  • 200 grams of paneer cut into pieces
  • 1 handful of almonds
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 3-4 tsp of grated coconut
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/3 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of onion seeds
  • 3 tablespoon of oil

How to make Jhinge Paneer

  1. Heat oil in a pan and temper onion seeds then add the chopped ridge gourd
  2. Sauté them with salt, turmeric powder and a bay leaf
  3. Now in a grinder, make a paste of almonds and coconut
  4. Add the paste in the ridge gourd when it’s little soft
  5. Sauté them together nicely and then add the Paneer cubes
  6. Add ginger garlic paste to it and green chilli
  7. Cook them together for few minute then add a cup of water and milk to it
  8. Cook covering with a lid till the water dries up
  9. Serve hot with rice

My Tip:

It’s simple, easy and quick veg recipe. You can add crushed black pepper to it. I skipped it for my son.
