Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Brinjal- one cup chopped long
  2. Bhindi- chopped long
  3. Onion- chopped long
  4. Capsicum- chopped into big pieces
  5. Tur dal- 1/2 cup
  6. Masoor dal- 1 /2 cup
  7. Sambhar powder- 4 tsps
  8. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt- to taste
  10. Hing piece- small
  11. Oil- 1 tbsp
  12. Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  13. Urad dal- 1tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a kadayi, fry vegetables in little oil.
  2. Pour and squeeze the tamarind and add the water to the vegetables
  3. Let it boil, add Sambhar powder, turmeric powder and hing and salt
  4. Boil the dal and keep aside
  5. Once vegetables are boiled add dals and boil till its well cooked
  6. For tadka, add little oil add mustard seeds and urad dal and pour it in sambar
  7. Serve hot
