Mutton Onion Fry

Ingredients to make Mutton Onion Fry

  • Mutton - 500 gms
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • chilly powder - 2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 125 ml
  • cardamom - 2
  • cinnamon - 1
  • cloves - 3
  • onions - 4 (thin sliced)
  • coriander - a handful

How to make Mutton Onion Fry

  1. Wash n clean mutton.
  2. In a cooker add a tbsp of oil, add the mutton, to this add chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder fry for a minute add half cup (125 ml)water, a little salt n pressure cook for 6 whistles .
  3. In a pan add 2 tbsp oil, add Cardamom, cinnamon and cloves
  4. Add sliced onions and coriander leaves. Cook till the onions Turn transparent. At this point add a handful of water from the cooker to avoid the onions from getting burnt.
  5. Add the mutton pieces n mix well
  6. Add salt if required. Fry well till all the water evaporates.
  7. Garnish with lemon
