Ingredients to make Beetroot poriyal

  • 1 cup beet root cut fine
  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp urad dal
  • hing
  • curry leaves
  • coriander leaves

How to make Beetroot poriyal

  1. Boil the beetroot, strain the liquid.
  2. Add oil in kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal and Hing.
  3. Add beetroot and coconut, coriander leaves, fry for sometime.
  4. Serve with hot rice or roti.

My Tip:

Can add green peas.. The discarded water can be added in soups or dals.
