About Kozhikari / Chicken dosa Recipe

Kari Dosa is one delicious dish from Madurai , the city where 24*7 , delicious foods are available to enjoy . This recipe uses minced chicken and spices to make the chicken taste yummy and flavourful .

Kozhikari / Chicken dosa

Ingredients to make Kozhikari / Chicken dosa

  • Dosa batter 1 cup ( 4 ladleful )
  • Minced chicken 120 grams
  • onion medium 1 finely chopped
  • tomato ripe 1 small finely chopped
  • ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt
  • Sesame oil 1 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garam masala/ kari masala 1/4 teaspoon
  • curry leaves 5
  • cilantros 3 tablespoons chopped
  • Black pepper powder freshly ground 1 teaspoon

How to make Kozhikari / Chicken dosa

  1. In a pan , heat oil .
  2. Add onions . Sauté till translucent.
  3. Add tomatoes and sauté till mushy .
  4. Add chicken .
  5. Add dry powders .
  6. Sprinkle very little water .
  7. The masala should be in spreading consistency and not runny / dry .
  8. Add salt .
  9. Once the chicken is cooked and masala is done. Switch off the heat .
  10. Heat a tava .
  11. Pour one small ladle full batter and spread to soft dosa.
  12. Cook both the sides by drizzling oil.
  13. Now spread the prepared masala on the inner side of the dosa .
  14. Garnish the dosa with cilantros .
  15. Serve hot .
