Mirchi bonda

Ingredients to make Mirchi bonda

  • 4Green thick big chillis
  • 2 boil potatoes
  • 1tbsp dhana jeera powder
  • salt
  • tamarind soked in water or 1tbsp lemon juice
  • Groundnut crushed
  • 1 cup besan
  • oil
  • water

How to make Mirchi bonda

  1. Wash and slit open the chilli without letting it completely exposed and remove seeds and keep aside
  2. Smash boil potatoes and add chilli powder salt dhana jeera powder and tamraind juice also the groundnuts
  3. Take another bowl add besan salt n water and make a thick flowing batter
  4. Fill the potato mixture in the chillies
  5. Heat oil and simmer the flame.
  6. Dip the filled chillies in the batter n fry them in hot oil till done
  7. Serve with lunch dinner side dish or as evening tea snack

My Tip:

Tamrind juice is optional..it just reduces the spiciness of chilli a bit Groundnut can be replaced with bread crumbs
