This tikki is made from leftover moth sabzi.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Moth 1 cup soaked for 1-2 hrs
  2. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
  6. Amchoor powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  8. Green chillies 1-2 finely chopped
  9. Coriander leaves few chopped
  10. Oil for shallow frying
  11. Rice flour 1-2 tbsp for binding

Instructions

  1. Boil the moth in a cooker with salt and turmeric powder till 2 whistles blow. In a kadhai, add 1-2 tbsp oil, then add the boiled moth and all the dry spices except the garam masala. Stir till all the water dries up.
  2. Cool the moth sabzi, add rice flour, little salt, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  3. Make the tikkis and shallow fry them on a non-stick tawa on a medium to low heat till it is crisp from both sides.
  4. Serve with green chutney or tomato sauce.
