ABOUT Italian Spaghetti with strawberries RECIPE

Spaghetti is produced and consumed in Italy in large quantities . Spaghetti is the staple food in traditional Italian cuisine. Spaghetti is cooked as the main dish with various sauces . One kind of variation is cooking spaghetti in freshly prepared strawberry sauce . This is a mild, sweet , tangy yummy dish .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. One pack spaghetti 500 grams
  2. Strawberries 500 grams
  3. Olive oil 3 tablespoons
  4. Balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon
  5. crushed garlic 1 teaspoon
  6. Pepper powder ( optional)
  7. Corn starch 1 teaspoon
  8. Water for cooking spaghetti 1 large container .
  9. Salt 2 teaspoons


  1. In a large pot , fill 3/4 water and allow to boil .
  2. Drop the spaghetti in the hot boiling water . Add a tablespoon of olive oil and salt. Cook the spaghetti till al dente .
  3. Remove from the heat . Wash the spaghetti under running cold water . Drain the water completely and set the spaghetti aside .
  4. In a wide pan , heat olive oil .
  5. Add crushed garlic .
  6. Add the cut strawberries . Sauté for a minute. Add a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar . Keep stirring the mixture till the straw berries turn soft , mushy . Strawberries melt to a saucy texture .
  7. Keep stirring . Add corn starch . Stir till the sauce thickens .
  8. Add the cooked spaghetti to the boiling sauce .
  9. Toss it quickly so that the sauce sticks to every strand of spaghetti.
  10. Sprinkle pepper powder .
  11. Transfer the prepared spaghetti to a serving plate .
  12. Garnish with cut strawberries.
  13. Serve warm .
