About Hari Chutney ke Jhinge Recipe

Kokani especiality in this hari ie. green chutney which is made with seasame,cononut, khuskhus(poppy seeds)green chillies,corriander and some mint.Then added are big sized Prawns ,with saute onions and aromatic gravy of ginger garlic and some curds.This ones wow! :thumbsup:

Hari Chutney ke Jhinge

Ingredients to make Hari Chutney ke Jhinge

  • 6-8 big size Prawns
  • 1/2 coconut into pieces
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bunch corriander
  • Few mint leaves
  • 1/2tspn poppy seeds
  • 1 tspn sesame
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup beaten curds
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tblspn cummin corriander powder
  • 2 tblspoon ginger garlic paste

How to make Hari Chutney ke Jhinge

  1. Devein the Jumbo prawns clean and wash well
  2. Apply salt to these and keep aside
  3. Use all dry spices roast a little
  4. Add corriander,chopped green chilli ,fresh coconut and Mint and grind to a green chutney
  5. Now heat oil in a fry pan ,heat and saute the chopped onions
  6. Add 1/2 tspn turmeric and salt
  7. Add prawns now and also 2tblspn of the green chutney
  8. Add 1 1/2 cup water to the saute prawns,cook on slow for 10-15 mins
  9. As it's drying up the gravy bring down from stove
  10. Ready to serve with Roti or on a bed of plain steamed rice
  11. Garnish with corriander

My Tip:

Try adding garam masala if you like such flavour ,I do at times
