About rajma masala Recipe

kidney beans cooked with spices, a perfect side dish to be served with roti or rice.

Ingredients to make rajma masala

  • kidney beans ( rajma ) 250 gm
  • 150 gm
  • onion 2 large
  • ginger 1 inch
  • cumin 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder 1 tspn
  • coriander powder 1 tspn
  • garam masala 1 tspn
  • refined oil 5 to 7 tbsp

How to make rajma masala

  1. soak kidney bean overnight.
  2. wash and put in pressure cooker . add water and salt .
  3. pressure Cook it for 20 minuets. save the water .
  4. make paste of ginger . onion. grind tomatoes too
  5. in cooker add oil . add cumin . add onion paste cook it till colour changes to brawn. add tomato mix
  6. cook for 5 minuets add dry spices. add a little bit water and cook for 2 minuets. add boiled kedney beans add leftover boiled water of kidney beans add salt and cook for another 15 minuets
