About Rajasthani mawa malpua Recipe

These malpua are too tasty that no one can eat just one.These are famous in Rajasthan.

Ingredients to make Rajasthani mawa malpua

  • 100 gm maida
  • 50 gms Suji
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp green cardamom pwd
  • 250 ml milk
  • 25 gms khoya
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 125 gms sugar
  • 125 gms water
  • 1 pinch saffron

How to make Rajasthani mawa malpua

  1. First prepare sugar syrup.
  2. Heat water in a pan on medium flame ,add sugar .
  3. Add 2 tsps milk and remove scum.
  4. Add saffron.
  5. Boil till thick (no thread needed)keep aside.(It should be thick that it sticks to your hand)
  6. Now mix Maida,suji,khoya,cardamom pwd,bk pwd,milk,and mawa.
  7. Make a lump free batter.
  8. Let the batter rest for 10 mins.
  9. Now in a pan heat ghee.
  10. Fry malpuas by adding 2 to 3 tbsp of batter at time. (on medium flame)
  11. Fry all malpuas both sides.
  12. Drain excess ghee from malpuas and keep aside.
  13. After all malpuas are fried soak them in sugar syrup for 5 to 7 mins .
  14. Serve hot or cold.(tastes best when served hot)

My Tip:

Always fry in ghee for best taste if not using ghee add one tbsp of ghee in oil in which u are frying.
