About Onion basan sabji. Recipe

A bangali sidedish goes well with rotis or even rice.

Onion basan sabji.

Ingredients to make Onion basan sabji.

  • onion 2 cups sliced into big pieces.
  • tomato 1 cup or 2 medium. Sliced
  • Basan 2 to 3 tbsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 pinch
  • salt
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • jeera 1/4 tsp
  • coriander leaves 1/4 cup chopped

How to make Onion basan sabji.

  1. Heat pan with oil.add mustard & jeera. When it splutter add onions.
  2. Stir for one or two minutes.
  3. Then add tomatoes . Cover & cook till tomatoes r well mashed.
  4. Then add coriander, Chilli, turmeric & garam Masala powders & salt. Stir well. Till onions r well cooked.
  5. Add basan one tbsp 1st .stir well. Then add one . Stir well. Sprinkle some water if needed. Or add tsp of oil. Cook for some more time. Stiring well.
  6. Add coriander leaves. Serve hot with rotis or rice.

My Tip:

If u want u can add some more basan.
