About Gur papdi Recipe

A sweet prepared with wheat flour, jaggery and dry fruits. Usually prepared in winter

Gur papdi

Ingredients to make Gur papdi

  • wheat flour (I used multigrain atta)1 cup
  • jaggery 1/2 cup
  • ghee 6tbsp
  • Mixed dry fruits powdered coarsely 1/2 cup
  • cardamom powder 2tsp

How to make Gur papdi

  1. Grease a tray and keep aside
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and roast wheat flour till it turns brown and leaves a pleasant aroma
  3. Add jaggery and mix till the jaggery dissolved completely
  4. Add dry fruits (leave some for garnish)
  5. Add cardamom powder and mix well
  6. Add to the greased tray and spread well
  7. Add garnish and pat down firmly
  8. Cut into squares and allow to cool
  9. Store in a airtight container
