Ingredients to make kathal Do pyaza

  • jackfruit 10-15pieces
  • water as needed
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste
  • onion sliced 4tbsp
  • onion finely chopped 1/2cup
  • tomato chopped 1/4cup
  • redchilli powder 1tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • coriender powder 1tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • oil 1tbsp
  • lemon juice 1tsp
  • green chilli 1
  • Coriender leaves for garnish

How to make kathal Do pyaza

  1. Take jackfruit pieces in cooker along with some water and little salt
  2. Close lid of cooker ,cook it for 2-3whistles,switch off the flame
  3. After pressure get completly released open the cooker and romove exess water from jackfruit Keep it in seive for few minutes
  4. Heat oil for frying in a deep pan
  5. Fry pieces of boiled jackfruit in hot oil to golden colour And keep aside
  6. Heat 1tbsp Oil in another pan add ginget garlic paste and saute
  7. Add finely chopped onions to it and cook to light brown color
  8. Add sliced onion and tomatoes in it
  9. Add salt,redchilli powder,turmeric powder,coriender powder in it cook on low flame till oil separates
  10. Add fried jackfruit pieces mix well cook for 2minutes
  11. Switch off the flame add lemon juice and coriender leaves
  12. Serve hot as side dish with dal rice or chapati

My Tip:

If you want dont deep fry boiled jackfruit can be made without frying also
