Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chicken with bone pieces 1kg
  2. Chopped onion 2cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste 2tsp
  4. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  5. Cumin powder 2tbsp
  6. Boiled onion paste 1 tbsp
  7. Kashmiri red chili powder 2 tbsp
  8. Salt & sugar as per taste
  9. Fried onion paste 2 tbsp
  10. Yogurt 1/2 cup
  11. White oil 6tbsp
  12. Whole garam masala
  13. Mitha ittar 2 drops
  14. Bay leaf


  1. In a bowl take the chicken pieces. Add salt and yogurt and mix it. Leave it for 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add bay leaf, whole garam masala.
  3. Add chopped onion. Fry a little till it becomes golden brown.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, cumin powder, Kashmiri red chili powder boiled onion paste. Mix it.
  5. In a low flame cook this for 5-10 mins. If needed then you can add a little water to it.
  6. Now add the marinated chicken pieces to it. Cover with lid and cook for 15 min.
  7. Add fried onion paste and mix.
  8. In a bowl take 1/2 cup milk and add 2drops of Mitha ittar to it. Add this to chicken gravy.
  9. Give this a little standing time. Serve with any rice dishes or naan..
