ABOUT Chicken do pyaaza RECIPE

Chicken do pyaaza is little bit sweet, spicy and mouth-watering dish. It has got plenty of onions which gives it a nice aroma and taste. This is a very special kind of chicken dish best served with steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 750 gms chicken in cubes
  2. 3 Onions
  3. 3 tomatoes ( pureed)
  4. 2 tsp Garlic paste
  5. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  6. 1 tbsp kasoori methi
  7. 1 tbsp Chilli powder
  8. 2 tbsp ghee
  9. 2 tbsp Oil
  10. 1 cup Yogurt
  11. 1 tsp Turmeric
  12. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  13. 1 tbsp cumin powder
  14. 2 tsp paprika
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Blend masala of :
  17. 1 tbsp cardamom powder
  18. 1 tbsp cloves
  19. 1 tbsp cinnamon
  20. 1 tbsp black cardamom

Instructions

  1. Take 750 gms chicken, add 1/2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp chilli powder mix it well and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan heat 2 tbsp ghee, 3 tbsp oil, 2 tsp of of ginger garlic paste, 3 chopped onion and cook until the onion turns golden brown.
  3. Add 1 cup of tomato puree and cook it for 5-6 minutes.
  4. In a bowl mix 1 cup yogurt, 1 tbsp turmeric, 1 tbsp chilli powder, mix it well and add it into the pan, cook it for around 5-7 mins.
  5. Add 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp cumin powder, 2 tsp paprika, salt as required, 1 tbsp of blend masala, 3 green chillies, marinated chicken, 1 rough chopped onion, some water, mix it nicely and leave it to cook for 15-20 mins.
  6. Garnish it with some chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, 1 tbsp kaoori methi and chopped coriander leaves.
