Green pea stuffed parathe are very common in north India.

Mater ke parathe.

Ingredients to make Mater ke parathe.

  • One cup boiled green pea
  • 1table spoon chopped onion
  • 1tea spoon chopped green chillies
  • 1 tea spoon chopped ginger
  • 2table spoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1tea spoon garam masala powder
  • 1tea spoon salt
  • 1tea spoon ajwain seeds
  • Whole wheat flour 2cups
  • oil for frying4tablespoon.

How to make Mater ke parathe.

  1. Make dough of flour as we make for chapatis.
  2. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes
  3. Take boiled pea in a bowl and mash properly.
  4. Add all the ingredients exept oil.
  5. Make 4_5 equall portions of pea mixture.
  6. Make4_5 portions of wheat flour.
  7. Make balls of each portion
  8. Fill one ortion of pea mixture.
  9. Roll into a paratha.
  10. Heat a tawa.
  11. Cook paratha on medium flame
  12. When done on both sides,apply one table spoon oil
  13. Shallow fry on both side till golden.
  14. Serve with red chilly pickle.

My Tip:

Applying oil to parathe afyer half done,will give more beautiful colour.
