About Kata chorcori Recipe

Bengali dish prepared with fish head

Kata chorcori

Ingredients to make Kata chorcori

  • Fish head - 200gm
  • Green paste - 1tsp
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • onion - 2 finely chopped
  • Garli paste - 1tbsp
  • ginger paste - 1tsp
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped tomato - 1
  • oil - 5 tbsp

How to make Kata chorcori

  1. Heat 2 tsp oil fry heat with little salt and turmeric powder till golden color
  2. On the same kadhi add oil and Onion and fry till light brown color add garlic ginger paste and saute till row aroma goes
  3. Add sugar and salt to taste and mix
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and add powder spices and cook till tomato become soft .
  5. Add fish head, add to cup of water and cover into low flame for 10 minutes and cook gravy become dry and oil left. Serve with hot plain rice

My Tip:

Cook into low flame taste
