Ingredients to make Chorhori

  • All kinds of stalks- Stand of red and green spinach and stalks of cauliflower
  • 1 potato, diced
  • 1 long brinjal, diced
  • A bit of pumpkin, diced
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed paste
  • 2 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic pods
  • salt to taste

How to make Chorhori

  1. Heat the oil in a wok and add the kalonji seeds along with the onion and garlic, then saute them for 2 minutes.
  2. Add all the veggies and the mustard paste along with all the masalas. Saute it all for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Then add 1 cup of water, cover and cook till the veggies are done.
  4. Add a dash of mustard oil and serve with plain boiled rice.
