Chura papad

Ingredients to make Chura papad

  • 3 urad dal papad
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of roasted cumin seeds powder
  • Pinch of chat masala
  • red chilli powder ( optional)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Few fresh mint leaves for garnishing

How to make Chura papad

  1. I have taken masala urad papad (having black pepper and red chilli flakes added in it ) so have avoided additional red chilli powder.
  2. Now heat a tawa on medium flame.
  3. Meanwhile just with a drop of oil brush the papad on both the sides.
  4. Now roast this papad on the heated tawa.
  5. Cook evenly from the sides.
  6. You get semi fried papad ready.
  7. One papad is cut into small triangles and roasted the same way for garnish.
  8. Take the 2 whole semi fried papad in a plate or bowl and crush with the fingers.
  9. Add salt , roasted cumin seeds powder and chat masala as per taste.
  10. Mix all the ingredients and transfer to a serving bowl.
  11. Garnish with semi fried papad triangles and fresh mint leaves.

My Tip:

Papad is already salty so be careful while adding salt
