About Bengali Sondesh(Sandesh) Recipe

Sondesh is a traditional dessert of bengal.bengauli food is incomplete without it.

Bengali Sondesh(Sandesh)

Ingredients to make Bengali Sondesh(Sandesh)

  • 1ltr.full cream milk
  • Curd or lemon juice 2tbsp
  • kesar threads 10
  • Crushed badam
  • powdered sugar 4 tbsp
  • Food color 1 pinch
  • pista for garnish

How to make Bengali Sondesh(Sandesh)

  1. Boil milk,add curd or juice
  2. When it currdle strain water from it
  3. Wash cheena with 1glass of water,hang in muslin cloth for8 minutes
  4. After8 minutes mash it with hand
  5. Add sugar, crush almonds & kesar
  6. Shape it like modak or as per your choice
  7. On top of sondesh dot it by orange food color.
  8. Garnish with pista

My Tip:

When you strain water immediately add 1 glass cold water for soft cheena
